Non tutti pertanto sono adatti all’alta quota: ce ne vuole di tempo per sentirsi a casa tra neve e ghiaccio, vento e sbalzi termici, sole cocente e sassi in caduta libera. Ma qualcuno ce la fa. Chi? E come? Scopriamolo! Ma non dimentichiamoci il paesaggio, anche la geomorfologia infatti influenza le tipologie di habitat con le quali piante ed animali interagiscono.
ADAPTING TO HIGH ALTITUDE
It is hard to settle in places with extreme and unstable conditions. Not everyone is suited to life at high altitude; it takes time to adapt to the snow and ice, the wind and the temperature changes, the scorching sun and the falling rocks. But some people manage it. Who are they? And how do they do it? Let's find out! But we mustn't ignore the landscape: the geomorphology of the area also conditions the habitat with which the plants and animals interact.
