Mi teneva per mano, quando ci si avviava nel bosco alla ricerca dei suoi fiori.&#13;
Lo facevamo canticchiando, così da concedere ai folletti il tempo di nascondersi...e di spiarci.&#13;
Lei cantava ma io mi zittivo e con gli occhi li cercavo, speravo in qualche spiritello pigro, come lo ero io.&#13;
Ma gli spiritelli del bosco sono tutti vispi e arzilli.&#13;
Niente da fare!&#13;
Quando trovava il fiore o l'erbetta che cercava, mi lasciava la mano per raccoglierli e per spiegarmi i loro poteri...&#13;
Potevo accarezzare i più innocui, i più sicuri.&#13;
Il mio occhio di bimba ammirava il candore dei petali, il loro profumo, &#13;
Mi ammoniva quando azzardavo a toccare gli altri... quelli del male li chiamava.&#13;
Nel suo cestino li riponeva con cura, uno accanto all'altro come piccoli neonati in un fasciatoio.&#13;
Li conosceva e li chiamava per nome e come dei figli mi decantava le lodi o le marachelle di ognuno;&#13;
ma quando arrivavamo alla radura dei piccoli fiori viola si fermava, mi faceva coprire naso e bocca con la mano e correvamo via lontano, lontano.&#13;

Era bellissimo ed era così facile fuggire dal male...allora.&#13;
Era bellissimo vederla intenta a preparare i suoi filtri incantati per far sparire dolore e peccati.&#13;
Era bellissimo vederla recitare le formule magiche per chiamare i folletti buoni e chiuderli nei vasetti assieme alle pozioni.&#13;
Era bellissimo starle accanto allora e adesso&#13;
per mano al mio spiritello pazzerellone, in ogni attimo.&#13;

Conosco Nonna Pina, che credeva l'America si trovasse dietro le cime di Belluno, andò a servizio a Milano e tornò denutrita perché le tenevano il latte sotto chiave. Ha lavorato come sarta una vita per risparmiare poche lire e tuttora ha più forza e spirito di una ventenne.&#13;
Conosco Alice Pompanin che ama la terra e sa come conservarne i frutti. Conosco Stefania Zardini Lacedelli che si è inventata un lavoro che prima non esisteva pur di raccontare le sue montagne. Conosco Maria Mare che ha seminato in generazioni di allievi scegliendo una nuova casa lontana dalla Sua Sicilia&#13;
E ricordo Tina Merlin, che aveva capito, detto la verità e che se fosse stata ascoltata, in migliaia sarebbero sopravvissuti. &#13;
Ecco solo poche di quelle che conosco e ricordo. Ma quante donne ci sono che rendo più ricche e belle le Dolomiti UNESCO?&#13;

Pare non si fidasse particolarmente del marito e avesse per questo deciso di imparare a portare lei stessa la zattera, un lavoro considerato maschile per la forza fisica necessaria.&#13;
Si racconta che vestisse in modo eccentrico: con un cilindro, orecchini pendenti e un giro di perle al collo. Potete ammirarla in quest'opera dell'artista bellunese Marta Farina. </text>
