Ripartimmo subito dopo aver fatto colazione e venimmo al villaggio così detto di S. Martino [si intende Valle di Cadore]. Il Cadore è una comunità unica nelle montagne ormai sotto il dominio di Venezia e i nostri uomini del popolo chiamano quella regione Hadober, ed era del patriarcato di Aquileia appartenente al Forum Julii. Incontrammo molti ostacoli sulla via per quella regione perchè la strada pubblica e comune era piena di carri e veicoli e cavalli da soma che trasportavano il vino italico e del Friuli in Alemagna. Incontro venivano altri carri in senso inverso nè vi era via all'infuori della strada comune a causa della profondità della neve e poichè era necsssario spostarsi furoi della strada, quando il cavallo poneva lo zoccolo fuori dalla carreggiata subito affondava nella neve fino al ventre [...]&#13;

Per muoversi in questa orografia, bisogna imparare prima a leggerla, ad orientarsi: le strade, i sentieri, i passi. Fin da piccoli, quassù, siamo abituati a studiare i percorsi sulle carte: distanze e tempi. Dove non è pianura, il dislivello conta assai più dello sviluppo. Mica sempre passo dopo passo. Alle volte uno sopra l'altro. La nostra cartografia di riferimento è Tabacco/Casa Editrice Tabacco, dal 2011 partner di Dolomiti Contemporanee. I nomi d'ogni croda e passo, noi l'abbiamo imparati qui, studiando e ristudiando mille volte queste mappe, prima d'ogni escursione, salita, scalata. Al passo è spesso la partenza di un itinerario: un riferimento vitale nell'orientamento.                   <text>I diversi aspetti della civiltà ladina, dalla preistoria all’organizzazione istituzionale, dalla ritualità civile e religiosa alle credenze e alle tradizioni, fino all’avvento dell’alpinismo e del turismo di massa, un viaggio nella storia e nei costumi di un popolo si snodano lungo i 600 metri quadrati del Museo ladino di Fassa. Qui sono ospitate le collezioni etnografiche dell’Istitut Cultural Ladin frutto di vent’anni di ricerche, che raccontano il processo di formazione di un popolo attraverso le testimonianze della cultura materiale e spirituale, dalle origini fino ad oggi. Le immagini ci raccontano dell'emigrazione stagionale che per secoli ha visto protagonisti gli uomini di Fassa. Per integrare la magra economia di valle partivano proprio come oggi, giorno di S. Giuseppe e a piedi si recavano #oltreilpasso portando la 'craches' sulle spalle per giungere nelle aree tirolesi speranzosi di trovare lavoro. Erano degli ottimi artigiani, muratori e soprattutto si sono fatti conoscere per essere stati dei talentuosi pittori e decoratori. Con il loro stile colorato e carico di simboli hanno dipinto le stubi e il mobilio di numerose abitazioni.</text>

                  <text>Il museo etnografico Regole d’Ampezzo, situato nell’ex segheria delle Regole e inaugurato nel 2011, è stato creato per far conoscere al pubblico gli aspetti culturali e ambientali fondamentali della comunità ampezzana. È proprio grazie alle Regole d’Ampezzo, infatti, che il territorio e la cultura di Cortina sono quelle attuali.                   <text>&lt;p&gt;Il Museo Marmolada Grande Guerra 3000 m, ospitato al secondo piano della stazione funiviaria di Serauta, la seconda della funivia della Marmolada, oltre a essere il museo più alto d’Europa è anche il luogo della memoria di quanti si trovarono a combattere a queste altezze, lottando quasi più contro la natura che contro il nemico umano. Il museo è dedicato alla vita del soldato, senza alcuna distinzione fra le due parti, poiché l’obiettivo è ricordare la vita di uomini che scontrandosi fra loro arrivarono a scontrarsi con un nemico ancor più implacabile: la natura. Ovviamente c’è spazio anche per fatti storici, ma sempre esposti in maniera obiettiva.                 <text>Ed eccoci a parlarvi di PASSI per la quarta settimana di #DolomitesMuseum&#13;

Durante la Grande Guerra 'passo' significava un ostacolo per l'avanzata, così come cima, montagna o forcella. Se i soldati riuscivano a conquistare un passo, una cima o una forcella, erano letteralmente un 'passo' avanti rispetto al nemico e potevano da lì partire a invadere una nuova vallata.&#13;
Intorno alla Marmolada 4 furono i passi protagonisti di azioni belliche: Passo Fedaia, Passo Padon, Passo Ombretta e Passo Ombrettola.&#13;
&#13;
Trovandosi la strada bloccata sul Passo Fedaia e sul Passo Padon, i soldati italiani si avventurarono ai piedi della parete sud della Marmolada, seguirono i sentieri silvo-pastorali fino alla Valle Ombretta e di qui cercarono di invadere la Val di Fassa attraverso i passi Ombretta e Ombrettola.&#13;
&#13;
Tuttavia, i due passi erano già in mano austro-ungarica e servì un'azione spericolata appesi alle rocce del Sasso Vernale per riuscire a conquistarli nella notte fra il 7 e l'8 giugno 1915.&#13;
&#13;
'Chi più in alto sale, più lontano vede', così gli austro-ungarici salirono ancora più in alto, fin sulle vette della Marmolada, a oltre 3.000 m. Fu allora che iniziò la guerra per la conquista della Regina delle Dolomiti, regina incontrastata anche di quei 4 passi.&#13;

Al Passo delle Erbe la fillade di Bressanone, con i suoi 600 milioni d’anni, s’incontra con le rocce dolomitiche, la cui età raggiunge appena 270 milioni di anni. Le morbide dorsali su cui si estendono le malghe di Eores, Luson e Longiarù, contrapposte alle imponenti vette frastagliate del Pütia e delle Odle di Eores sullo sfondo, sono espressione di questa differente geologia. Qui il gruppo linguistico ladino e quello tedesco sono molto vicini. Entrambi si sono influenzati l’un l’altro, in particolar modo nella cultura. Il Passo delle Erbe è, dunque da sempre e lo è ancora oggi, un luogo d’incontro e di scambio.&#13;
