                  <text>Il museo ospita una delle più consistenti collezioni paleontologiche esistenti grazie all’intensa attività di ricerca e studio svolta da Rinaldo Zardini, il naturalista a cui è dedicato il museo. L’esposizione esiste dal 1975 e offre un’occasione unica per conoscere e capire la geologia delle montagne dolomitiche: numerose le vetrine che raccolgono minerali, rocce e soprattutto fossili di invertebrati marini, coralli e spugne conservatisi grazie alla finissima sabbia di calcare.                   <text>Il museo etnografico Regole d’Ampezzo, situato nell’ex segheria delle Regole e inaugurato nel 2011, è stato creato per far conoscere al pubblico gli aspetti culturali e ambientali fondamentali della comunità ampezzana. È proprio grazie alle Regole d’Ampezzo, infatti, che il territorio e la cultura di Cortina sono quelle attuali. Le Regole d’Ampezzo costituivano delle antiche istituzioni che avevano il compito di regolamentare l’utilizzo delle proprietà collettive del territorio, facenti capo alle famiglie originarie di Cortina e di disciplinare il rapporto tra l’uomo e l’ambiente.                 <text>Esistono tanti modi di usare la pietra sfruttandola al meglio. Ecco un utilizzo particolare, ma necessario: un grosso blocco trasformato nel peso per il pendolo del meccanismo dell'orologio del campanile.&#13;

Per procurarsi i materiali o le pietre adatte per la costruzione o il restauro di opere destinate alla collettività gli ampezzani facevano ricorso a speciali risorse. La Comunità d’Ampezzo, per poter acquistare il necessario, vendeva il legname più pregiato e quest’ultimo veniva ricavato abbattendo delle porzioni di bosco – viza – fino a quel momento protette.  &#13;

La prima suggestione che ci è venuta in mente è quella dell'antica professione dei cavatori e degli scalpellini. Data la grande disponibilità di materia prima, la storia delle cave e degli scalpellini in provincia di Belluno ha origini antichissime.                 <text>Come tutti i musei d’Italia, anche noi siamo chiusi, ma vi raccontiamo attraverso i social le nostre collezioni, che spesso dimostrano come gli uomini abbiano saputo adattarsi al nostro territorio. Per la campagna social dei musei dolomitici che si uniscono nel racconto collettivo di #DolomitesMuseum questa settimana ci dedichiamo a un elemento fondamentale delle nostre montagne: la roccia!&#13;
E vi raccontiamo della COTE, da noi, in dialetto chiamata préda o pria. Si tratta della pietra che si usa per affilare la falce durante la falciatura dei prati. Per realizzarla si utilizza una particolare pietra arenaria che, una volta bagnata, ha forti proprietà abrasive. Lo stesso tipo di roccia veniva usato infatti anche per la mola degli arrotini. Nelle foto ci sono anche gli intermedi di lavorazione della cote, dalla pietra grezza all’oggetto finito e pronto per l’uso. La forma oblunga della cote, comoda per l’impugnatura, si ricava con uno speciale martello che potete vedere in una delle foto. Alcune volte la cote ha un manico in legno che la rende più maneggevole. Per portarla con sé i falciatori usavano il portacote, più noto come cozàr (o anche codèr o gugiaro). Si tratta di un contenitore che portavano alla cintura, con all’interno anche un po’ di acqua necessaria per aumentare la forza abrasiva. In genere i portacote sono in legno, decorati e dipinti, altre volte sono ricavati da corna di bue. La loro punta serve per piantarli nel terreno.&#13;

                <text>La "scaglia rossa" è una roccia molto presente in area feltrina e, nello specifico, è fondamento compositivo dell'intero colle delle Capre di Feltre nonchè di elementi  emergenti in molte zone all'interno della cittadella.&#13;

L'area del Vescovado, qui ubicata, è costituita proprio da un solido sperone roccioso in scaglia rossa, in posizione nettamente rialzata rispetto al terreno circostante: il palazzo si erge, infatti, fondando le sue basi sulla roccia che, soprattutto sul fronte sud, acquisisce un carattere forte ed imponente per il notevole dislivello.&#13;
&#13;
All'interno del palazzo la scaglia rossa è elemento basilare che domina l'ambiente. La ritroviamo, infatti, al naturale nelle seicentesche cantine ma anche, mescolata ad altri componenti, in molti nuovi elementi architettonici e nelle pavimentazioni.&#13;
&#13;
Questo per dare continuità costruttiva al palazzo e creare una congiunzione armoniosa tra passato e presente.&#13;
La scaglia rossa ha anche la capacità di essere cangiante: naturalmente di colore rosso-rosato, prende tonalità più scure o più chiare a seconda dei componenti a cui viene legata.</text>

È l’impegno a mantenere viva la memoria di quanto accaduto: nel ricordo delle 1.910 vittime e nella profonda commozione per il coraggio dei superstiti che, in uno stato di totale annientamento, hanno coltivato la speranza nel domani. Il Museo ripercorre cronologicamente la storia di Longarone e del Vajont, attraverso una vasta raccolta di immagini storiche, reperti, testimonianze e filmati.</text>

                <text>Questa settimana vi mostriamo uno dei reperti facenti parte del nostro museo #longarone.vajont: un leone in pietra proveniente da Villa Malcolm, una delle costruzioni storiche di Longarone, costruita nel 1774 dalla fam. Stefani inizialmente con funzione di segherie che si estendevano fino al Maè, arricchendosi con l'andare del tempo e divenendo punto di snodo per tutta la zona. Fu acquistata da sir Alexander Malcolm nel 1800 che la arricchì con parco, laghetti, statue, serre con alberi preziosi, tra cui cedri del Libano. La villa fu spazzata dall'ondata della notte del 9 ottobre 1963.&#13;
Il leone e un gemello si trovavano ai piedi della scalinata d'ingresso della villa.&#13;
