The stunning Matarot waterfalls in the Val di Genova are amongst the most beautiful and impressive cascades in Europe! A magical natural spectacle of rushing, roaring water originating from the Lobbia glacier and reaching a height of 400 metres. It can be easily reached in just a few hours on foot. The route starts from the Malga Bèdole farmhouse and winds its way along a charming mountain trail as far as the Bèdole mountain hut. Once you have reached the Ponte delle Cambiali bridge, follow the stepped path up to Màndra Mataròt from where you will be able to admire this impressive waterfall in all its glory and the glacier from which it springs.&#13;

                <text>Può un musicista interagire con i suoni della natura?&#13;
Si, c’è chi l’ha fatto. In primis Mario Brunello, violoncellista di fama internazionale. Da anni porta i suoi concerti in alta quota, in anfiteatri naturali, per cercare nel silenzio “rumoroso” delle montagne (tra il sospiro del vento, lo stormire delle fronde e i versi degli uccelli ed altri animali) di scoprire nuove sonorità, diverse dall’acustica asettica delle sale da concerto.&#13;
Leggiamo dal suo libro “Fuori con la Musica”: “Il suono del mio violoncello nasce dal legno degli abeti armonici, alberi che crescono sulle Dolomiti orientali, nella zona del Panaveggio, sotto le Pale di San Martino”. Sembra che qui si aggirasse anche lo stesso Stradivari alla ricerca degli alberi più adatti alla costruzione dei suoi celebri violini: abeti rossi plurisecolari, il cui legno, grazie alla particolare capacità di ""risonanza"" forniva la materia prima ideale per la costruzione delle casse armoniche. Ma torniamo al racconto di Brunello: “Mi sono chiesto se attraverso il violoncello, fosse possibile in qualche maniera misurare la sonorità degli abeti senza tagliarli (…) Così son partito violoncello in spalla, per andare a suonare la Prima Suite di Bach per gli abeti. Una mattina di marzo il bosco era innevato e si affondava per arrivare vicino agli alberi, dove la neve si scioglie e si sente il calore del primo sole che comincia a scaldare i tronchi. Ho cominciato a suonare il preludio (…). Appoggiando il violoncello alla base del tronco e spostandomi da un albero all’altro, si sentiva che ognuno possedeva un proprio suono. La trasmissione sonora passa direttamente dallo strumento al corpo del tronco, il suono si espande verso l’alto con una risonanza che ha dell’incredibile. Finito di suonare nel silenzio del bosco si è sentito un picchio che batteva, tamburellava su un albero. La natura aveva già trovato uno strumento che sapesse ascoltare il suono degli alberi”.&#13;
