Vorrei vedere un po' di più residenti in montagna, gente che mette radici, che riesce a vivere e sostenere un’economia anche nelle aree interne e nelle terre alte, vorrei percepire una solidarietà e complicità tra le città e le montagne perché ciascuno può arricchire l’altro, vorrei continuare a vedere caprioli e cervi che scappano allo scricchiolio di un ramo spezzato dallo scarpone, rifugi aperti e sorrisi sui visi assolati dei guardiani di capanne, tanta neve d’inverno e lo sbocciare delle fioriture a giugno (non a marzo o aprile, ma questa è un’altra sfida! un cambiamento da governare o al quale abituarci).&#13;

Anche procurarsi la legna per riscaldarsi voleva dire andare a tagliarla nei boschi dove, almeno in Valcellina, non c'erano vie d'accesso a parte i 'trois della mussa' che portavano nelle varie proprietà boschive,&#13;
Ed allora? caricarsi la mussa sulle spalle e salire fino a raggiungere il bosco da tagliare; ricaricare la legna e portarla a valle come Toni de Moros nella foto;&#13;
Oppure come i carbonai di Erto che per evitare la fatica di portare a valle la legna davano fuoco sul luogo e poi le donne caricavano nella gerla di carbone e andavano a venderlo nei paesi della 'Bassa'. Il museo etnografico stimola interessanti riflessioni sul significato di vivere in montagna, sulle pratiche e le consuetudini di questo territorio così particolare.                 <text>In questa immagine troviamo rappresentati insieme una Kròmera e un gelatiere. Le Kròmere erano venditrici ambulanti che giravano di paese in paese, portando a tracolla una grossa cassa (caséla) piena di ogni sorta di oggetti di uso comune: fili, aghi, calzini, ferri per lavorare la lana ma anche cucchiai, pennelli per farsi la barba, profumi...&#13;
Il gelatiere racconta un'altra storia particolare di emigrazione:  dalle Dolomiti, in particolare dalla Val di Zoldo e dal Cadore, sono partiti centinaia di maestri gelatieri che hanno diffuso l'arte del gelato in tutto il mondo.&#13;
Fu proprio alla fine dell'800 che gli artigiani gelatieri Zoldani e Cadorini con i loro carrettini lungo le vie delle più importanti città dell'impero Austro-Ungarico fecero diventare il gelato un alimento popolare alla portata di tutti, non più preparato esclusivamente nelle cucine nobiliari e delle famiglie più abbienti.&#13;
Fu questo un felice esempio di conversione professionale dovuta ad una crisi economica senza pari che aveva causato povertà e disoccupazione in una terra legata all'estrazione mineraria e alle attività forestali. </text>
