Eccoci a un altro post dedicato a #DolomitesMuseum, questa volta il protagonista della settimana è il tempo.
Il tempo in una guerra di posizione è un tempo di attesa, un tempo lungo, quasi infinito, finché non giunge l'ordine di attaccare e allora tutto è veloce, scorre rapido, quasi quanto i ricordi prima di imbracciare il fucile, un ultimo pensiero a casa e poi via, vietato pensare, la regola è TORNARE VIVI A CASA.
Cosa facevano i soldati per ingannare il tempo? Fumavano, giocavano a carte, tenevano diari, scrivevano e leggevano (ovviamente chi sapeva leggere e scrivere).
Ci sono delle poesie struggenti e bellissime, scritte nei momenti più improbabili dell'attesa in trincea.
Un ottimo promemoria per ricordarci che anche in momenti complessi, qualcosa di buono può nascere sempre. :-)
Here we are with a new post dedicated to #DolomitesMuseum; this time the protagonist is 'time'.
Time in a position war is a waiting time, a long time, nearly endless. This until the order of attack comes. From this moment on the time goes faster and faster, nearly as much as the flow of memories when they had to embrace the rifle. A last thought to home and then you had to go, thought-free, the only rule was to COME BACK HOME ALIVE.
What did they do in the trenches? They smoked, played cards, wrote diaries and letters and read books (obviously if they could read and write).
There are some heartbreaking and beautiful poems, written in the most improbable moments.
A perfect memo to remind us that even in the most complex moments, something good can always be born. :-)
