Nei primi anni del '900 le ragazze iniziavano a filare, con rocca e fuso o filatoio a pedale, molto presto, per prepararsi la dote.&#13;
In altri casi le donne erano intente nelle fatiche del trasporto, a volte aiutate da muli con il basto, mentre altre volte le protagoniste femminili portavano sulle spalle gerle cariche di materiale e indossavano grembiuli ricchi di chissà quali altri preziosi sostentamenti per la famiglia. </text>
