<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Il </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">ferel, </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">che in italiano si definisce </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">correggiato, è l’attrezzo utilizzato per battere il grano, formato da un bastone lungo (</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">ferlin</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">) e da uno più corto (</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">vérgola</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">) uniti insieme da una correggia (</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">coregia</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">).</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Il significato di</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">correggiato è: munito di cinghia ovvero correggia; l’etimologia della parola</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> ferel </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">potrebbe essere</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> flagellum</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> (Nicolai 2000).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Battere il grano con il </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">ferel</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> era un lavoro che richiedeva coordinazione per non incastrare le </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">vérgole</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> dei vari </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">feriei</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> una con l’altra.
